Legal documents in the United States only recognize “male” and “female” as genders, leaving anyone who does not identify as one of these two genders with no option. Australia and New Zealand both allow an X in place of an M or an F on passports for this purpose, and the UK recognizes ‘Mx’ (pronounced “Mix”) as a gender-neutral title.
This petition asks the Obama administration to legally recognize genders outside of the male-female binary, and provide an option for these genders on all legal documents and records.
Please signal boost and sign this petition. The title is a link.

Hi, this is Charlie, and I apologize I haven’t posted in a while.
Some updates though:
I should be getting a gender therapist soon, and also I’ve been thinking a lot and I’m considering changing my name to Lucas. The similarity to my birth name makes me very uncomfortable a lot.
Just some things that have been going on.
I will try my best to post more!
Hi, everyone. It’s really been tough to keep up with the blog lately and I apologize for that. Hopefully the future will hold more posts from Charlie and myself.
Please feel free to ask or submit anything you’d like. We would really appreciate hearing from any and all of you.

PS I will be uploading a new video to my personal transition blog very soon! mytransjourney.tumblr.com
Today, I created a Facebook group called TransDads. A group exclusivly for Transgender, Trans*, FTM, etc. fathers to connect with each other.
As a Trans Dad myself, I’ve found it difficult to connect with other Trans Dads over the last couple years. Luckily, I’ve come across people in other groups but there isn’t anything dedicated to Dads. We all share a unique experience and I’m hoping to provide a platform which makes it easier for Trans Dads to “meet” and share their stories.
If you know anyone who could benefit from joining a group like this one please share the link.

I’ve recently encountered the issues facing many transgender people, finding health care providers that will accommodate for transgender needs. Here in Connecticut the options for starting HRT are down to a single doctor in state who does not take state insurance, making it impossible for many…
Any trans folk in Conneticut should definitely help this cause!
I’m sorry to say that neither of us are experts on any of this material. All I really know about sexuality and gender comes from my own experiences and the experiences of a few people who are close to me. Also, I don’t think even psychologists who specialize in queer psychology could give you a definite answer to most of those.
I would gladly give you my opinions on these questions, but I don’t believe that would help with a paper very much… I think in this case finding reliable sites via google will be your best option [unless you would be able to find a professional].
Sorry that I couldn’t really help :[ I wish you luck on your paper though!
